Important Tips when using Skin Products:

  1. Always use an upward motion when cleansing and applying products to face. The face skin pores have a downward slant and benefit greatly when you use an upward slant when rubbing and using circles. Patting in creams and serums is the best way to apply. Patting with an upward slant also does a great job.

  2. ALWAYS use a clean face towel to dry face. We love organic cotton or muslin face towels.

  3. Changing your pillow case at least once a week (more if you have allergies or skin problems) is a game changer. Especially if you are not showering before bed. Satin pillowcases are also wonderful for face and hair.

  4. Cleansing your face in the evening is important, especially if you wear makeup, or have been outside in the elements. Try to clean and apply product to face about an hour before bed, so you have time for product to absorb properly. Otherwise, a bunch can end up on your pillowcase.

  5. Spritzing your face through out the day can really help skin tone. Especially if you work in an office building or environment with A/C or where the air is drier. Spritzing a toner is great over makeup, refreshes the skin tone, and feels great if you are sleepy or need a pick me up! We like to have a toner bottle at our desk, and mini in your purse!

‌The Beauty Box Face Routine:

  1. Grab a clean towel and your skin products. Many of these products are sun sensitive, so best used at night, or a few hours away from sun exposure.

  2. Wet face, cleanse with Ananda Cleanser. Only a small squirt is needed, lather and use upward circles to clean. Rinse and pat dry with towel.

  3. Shake the Juiced Toner bottle well, and spray on face. Make sure to get the neck and décolletage as well.

  4. While face is still wet from Juiced Toner, pat with a slight upward motion several pumps of the Bhava Hydrate. Your face will feel damp and a bit slimy, but will soak in quickly.

  5. If extra moisture is needed (and we do recommend at night), activate (see below how to activate) your Moon Cream and pat on, with slight upward motions. Don’t forget your neck and décolletage as well.

  6. Try to let soak in for about 30 minutes before touching your face or lying down.

  7. 1-2 a week, we recommend using the Afterglow Mask as a part of your skin brightening routine. The blue spirulina, honey and clay combine to brighten, tone and cleanse. Honey is amazing at clearing old sebum, and spirulina works well to even out red spots and skin tone. You would use the mask after cleansing your face, and then use the Juiced, Bhava, and Moon Cream after.


How to Activate Your Moon Cream:

Your Moon Cream contains special moisture beads that need to be melted and mixed before applying to skin. This gives the cream the most effectiveness, and helps the skin absorb it better. Use about a pea size amount of cream (more or less if needed) and rub between your hands until you feel the moisture beads melt and disappear. Then pat on using your whole hand, with slightly upward motions while pressing. Any excess use on neck, décolletage, and to moisturize hands. Enjoy!


The Beauty Box Pit Detox Routine:

Liferoot Nite Detox Cream Deodorant is made especially to work while you sleep. Infused with botanicals that pull out toxins, this can be a wonderful way to cleanse the pit area. Especially if you have used conventional deodorants or anti-perspirants or are currently using them now.

Our armpit is a delicate area, located near many lymphatic drainage points, and usually need some help moving and clearing toxins.

When using, apply a small amount in pit area (works best after bathing or showering) and rub in. You might notice that you sweat or smell when waking up, that’s normal and indicates that things are detoxing out. We recommend using the entire jar, and then repeating once a year. ‌Hair Therapy Routine:

Hair Oiling is an ancient practice that nourishes the scalp and hair follicle. It can also bring welcome moisture to the hair. We recommend hair oiling a couple times a month, on the full and new moons. But you can also do as needed.

Apply oil to scalp and roots of hair. Massage into scalp, and if needed, use on tips of hair. We recommend letting the oil sit on hair for at least 30 min to an hour, and even overnight if hair is damaged. You can wear a shower or cloth cap to bed with the oil on. When you are ready, shampoo as usual (if you applied a lot of oil, you might need an extra wash).
