Tallow has been used for centuries in skincare. Its properties are very similar to the natural fats found in skin, so tallow can help with proper moisture, irritation, repair, aging, and damage protection.

What is tallow and what are the benefits in skin care?

• Tallow is rendered animal fat, usually beef fat. Tallow is full of vitamins (A, D, E & K).

• Many of the nutrients in grass fed tallow help to promote youthful skin by providing substances that our skin naturally loses as we age.

• Lipids found in tallow are said to be beneficial since they create a protective, permeable barrier that prevents infection and maintains moisture in the skin.

Why add honey?

Honey is a humectant. Its benefits are antimicrobial, moisturizes and hydrates skin, soothes inflammation, and clarifies to open up pores.

Lavender, Calendula, Chamomile and Helichrysum are long standing staples on a farm, because they do so much for nature and our skin. These herbs balance the tallow in a beautiful way, adding extra balance.
